Tuna

Whether it is canned or fresh, tuna is a treat for any seafood enthusiast. Canned tuna is often mixed with mayonnaise or mustard and spread on bread for a sandwich. But fresh tuna is usually served alone with accompanying side dishes.

There are several species of tuna that live in bodies of water. It can be warm or cold blooded and it is found in many bodies of water. Some people love to eat tuna, but caution should be used because tuna is known to have high levels of mercury that may be harmful in large doses.

Tuna is most often commercially fished. Commercial fishing boats can gather a large number of tuna in one fishing trip. This is one of the ways that the world’s tuna supply stays replenished.
